Returns Policy

Items may be returned only when defective, damaged or if the product supplied is not the same product as what was ordered.

If the product(s) are defective in any way this must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of product(s) and must be returned to within 7 working days after notifying us. The defective part may be subject to a Supplier test.

1.1 Products Damaged

Any damage to a delivered item(s) must also be reported immediately.

1.2 Defective Products

We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality, and in good working order and without defects. If you have received a product which turns out to be defective or otherwise of poor quality, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt.

You can do so by emailing us and we will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice repair / replace the product (if such repair is possible / we have the same product in stock to use as a replacement) or refund you with the purchase price of the product. If the repair/replacement takes longer than 7 working days, we will get in touch with you to see if you would rather receive a credit/refund.

The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section:

  • faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
  • damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
  • damage arising from sea / air corrosion;
  • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
  • damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product;
  • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

Preparing your products for a return

To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible you are responsible for the following when returning your products;

  • package your products safely and securely for protection during transit;
  • clearly mark your return reference number (received via email from support) on the outside of the parcel; and
  • include all accessories and parts that were sold with the product.

Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether.

1.3 Charges and refunds

If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled to (subject to applicable law) refuse the return, only to replace the item that you did return, or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and parts and only to credit or refund you in respect of the returned item.

If you return a product that does not comply with the above return policy, you may be liable to reimburse SA Canvas for the cost of collecting the product from you and the cost of having the product returned to you.

2. Shipping

SA Canvas keeps as complete an inventory as possible, however some items are offered on-order basis only or may be out of stock. This will mean that the delivery time will be slightly longer than usual, as products need to be manufactured.

In the event of an extended delay in delivery time or price fluctuations, we will be in contact with you.

We reserve the right to cancel an order for which payment has already been received. This may occur if stock is insufficient or the quality of goods ordered does not meet our standards. Should we exercise this right, you will receive a full refund with no deductions.

In-stock items are dispatched once payment is reflected on our bank account.

  1. Orders without welding/stitching: Ship same day as payment is cleared by PayFast (same day) or same day as direct EFT shows in our account as long as this is cleared by 12h00.
  2. Orders with welding or stitching may take two days before shipment and will only be manufactured when payment is cleared by PayFast (same day) or same day as direct EFT shows in our account.
  3. Orders being shipped to major centres will be as per the service selected (next day or economy 3 day). Orders being shipped to non-major centres will take one additional day for shipping.

Please note that our material comes in 50-meter rolls. Orders of more than 50 meters will need to be welded and/or stitched (depending on the material ordered).

Items may take 3-7 working days to manufacture, if not in stock, and will then shipped as per the service selected. Larger quantities may take longer and will be communicated to the client.

The User’s continued use of this Website following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of the User’s acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including such changes or updates

Provider provides certain information at the Website.
